Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) is an Institution of National Importance (INI) established by an Act of Parliament. CSIR-Central Road Research Institute (CRRI), New Delhi offers excellent research and innovative doctoral programme for students who wish to pursue full time and sponsored doctoral research programme in Civil Engineering under Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research (AcSIR). The curriculum of the course has been designed after recognizing the importance of civil engineering related infrastructures area, i.e. Bridge Engineering, Pavement Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Transportation Planning and Environmental Engineering required for the socio-economic development of the country.

The doctoral research program is aimed at training a selected number of students as highly skilled professionals in Civil engineering with the proper academic and engineering credentials to assume leadership roles in industry, research and academia. Adequate hostel facilities both for the girls and boys are available in the campus.
