Working Principles, Specification and Applications
- Integrated Multi-Axis Control System (IMACS) Digital Controller
- UTS Software with test modules for international and local standards
- Can work for wide range of paving materials
- Environmental Chamber
DIFFERENT JIGS TO BE USED IN THE ABOVE EQUIPMENT
(i) FATIGUE LIFE OF COMPACTED HMA SUBJECTED TO REPEATED FLEXURE BENDING (AASHTO:T 321-07)
Working Principles
- Fatigue life and energy of 380 mm long x 50 mm thick x 63 mm wide beam specimens laboratory or field compacted HMA and subjected to repeated flexure bending until failure
- Select desired initial strain (250 to 750 microstrain), loading frequency ( 5 to 10 Hz) and the load cycle intervals
- Apply 50 load cycles at a constant strain (250 to 750 microstrain) and find stiffness at the 50th load cycle which is used as estimate of the initial stiffness
- Minimum of 10,000 load cycles ensures specimen does not decrease in stiffness too rapidly
- Failure point: Specimen exhibits a 50 % reduction in stiffness relative to initial stiffness
User Instructions
- Prepare the beam sample
- Place the sample in the jig meant for testing beam
- Place the LVDTs at specific location in IMACS for fatigue test
- Put the sample in the chamber at the testing temperature
- Leave sample for conditioning for minimum of five hours
- Operate the system
Instrument Usage Charges (Including GST)
- Industry: Rs. 2.0 Lakh (Two Lakh)
- University: Rs. 1.50 Lakh (One Lakh Fifty Thousand)
- National Labs/R&Ds: Rs. 1.50 Lakh (One Lakh Fifty Thousand)
(ii) JIG FOR INDIRECT TENSILE STRENGTH (EN 12697-26:2004 & ASTM D 4123 )
Working Principles
This test method covers procedures for preparing and testing laboratory-fabricated or field-recovered cores of bituminous mixtures to determine resilient modulus values using the repeated-load indirect tension test. The procedure described covers a range of temperatures, loads, loading frequencies, and load durations.
User Instructions
- Prepare the Marshal sample
- Place the sample in the jig meant
- Place the LVDTs at specific location in IMACS
- Put the sample in the chamber at the testing temperature
- Operate the system
INSTRUMENT USAGE CHARGES INCLUDING GST (For ITS Test)
- Industry: Rs. 90,000.00 (Ninty Thousand)
- University: Rs. 67,500.00 (Sixty Seven Thousand Five Hundred)
- National Labs/R&Ds: Rs. 67,500.00 (Sixty Seven Thousand Five Hundred)
INSTRUMENT USAGE CHARGES INCLUDING GST (For Resilient Modulus Test)

(iii) DETERMINATION OF RESISTANCE OF BITUMINOUS MIXTURES TO PERMANENT DEFORMATION, CONFORMING TO BS EN 12697-25:2005 (METHODS A & B)
Working Principles, Specification and Applications:
Test method A: Determining the Dynamic and Static creep characteristics of bituminous mixtures by means of an uniaxial cyclic compression test
Test method B: Determining the creep characteristics of bituminous mixtures by means of the triaxial cyclic compression test.
